Thorny Issue

Thorny Issue

Thorny issues? Thick thorned branches cut off my path. Cobwebs patched between the barrier. But deep in the woods, the colors were brushed with swirling purples, mauves, and cool blue-greens. Reminiscent of a satin quilt I slept under as a young child. A bit of sun in an opening in the tree canopy. Quiet, though. The birds were silent. The breezes were holding silent. I held my breath, silent also.

I agree with jpt… very Zen. It is amazing how certain colors will invoke memories and a deep peace. Sounds like a place I’d like to be, in the deep woods with its colors, and I could imagine, enveloping scents.

Isn’t it amazing how you can find beauty in something that most people would see and instantly try to get away from?

Wonderful little poem and a neat photo.

Not only do you have a great eye for a picture, your mind’s eye is remarkable.

This is a gorgeous shot. The background looks like a watercolor. Ditto Chris Osborne’s comment.

Nice photo, especially the background. Your words are what make the post a memorable one – they capture the stillness and reverie that I feel when I’m in the woods alone.

    Stillness resounds, memory connects.

Bo….you are so amazingly talented at finding the ‘hidden’ treasures in life, and bringing them into sharp focus. Thanks for that 🙂 Have a GREAT weekend! xoxo

All your latest are wonderful, but this one is my most favorite! Your beautiful words were icing on the cake!

‘Tis the world I so love, deep in the woods where silence abounds.

Thank you for sharing your world!
