Solitude

Abandoned in the Field

Solitary barn in a fallow field. Spring is as late coming to central Iowa as it is to Wisconsin. No signs of greening in the fields, except for a little winter wheat. And this photo was taken 150 miles south of Madison.

This is another of your very interesting photos. Instead of simply looking nice (and your photos always look nice), they lead me to think and wonder. Where does that road lead? The road takes my eye one way and the barn sends my eye in a different direction. I’m very intrigued by the shot.

I like it! It makes me wonder who put it there and why in exactly that spot? And what will it look like with summertime activity?

It took me a day of looking at this over and over… haunting isn’t it? I approve of the sepia decision. Once again your showing off your brilliant eye for architecture!

This is a very moody photo, I like the tone.
