Pink Snow

Pink Snow

Today is one of those days that needed a little extra color – well, not a little extra – it needed a lot of extra color. And so here is my solution.

I finally opened a Picnik account with Flickr so I could play with my photographs. And that it what I have been mostly doing – playing. I change things around until I find something that appeals to me, but I never post any of these because – well, because they seem pretty weird and very manipulated, and of course they are.

Today I decided that it is okay to play with my photographs and have fun with them and even share them some of the time. Why not? So when I discovered this above creation – why, I couldn’t pass up a teal and orange plow contrasted with pink snow. And so I am sharing, just because.

Maybe it will make you groan and shake your head, but maybe it will make you smile a bit, too. I hope it’s the latter. Anyway – now that I’ve enjoyed my pink wintry scene, I’ll be on my way. πŸ™‚

Hmmmmm!!! Pink Snow. You’ve been up to “Cat In The Hat” I see. Where are Thing 1 & Thing 2?

Interesting perspective. Keep playing around with things. You never know what you might find.

I thought that I would never see
Pink snow drifts under a pine tree,
A teal and orange plow so bold
It doesn’t even look that cold.
Fools like me can make poems grow
But only Bo can make pink snow.

I like it! The golden yellow is a nice contrast.

It’s pretty cool. It made my eyes about pop when I first clicked on here.

They say the best photographs are accidents, so it follows that playing should be a legitimate way to make art.

I like Gandalf’s “Cat in the Hat” comment. I think it is wonderful that you are experimenting..that is what it is all about..stepping out of your comfort zone.
    I say go girl!!

gandalf ~ I do believe the Cat is in a box in the basement. I should go do some afternoon reading.

quinn ~ an interesting poem for sure, thanks.

pat ~ that bit of yellow does stand out, doesn’t it?

alissa ~ is it a good thing or a bad thing when eyes pop? And the definition of art sure is broad!

jules, gypsy ~ if we didn’t experiment in art, life would be that much duller.

bernie, mon@rch ~ I DO know enough to be suspicious of yellow snow. πŸ™‚

    anna ~ absolutely. Why not!

This is a fun picture. I do that, place pictures up just because. It is important to enjoy your pictures.
