Sunrise at Sea

Sailing off the Florida Keys, the sun’s rays light the skies above the ocean,
and the waves upon the ocean’s surface.
Days later, in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, the sun disappeared. Diagonal winds crossed the ship’s deck at 45 mph and the ship sailed through 12-18 foot waves. After all day turbulence (as in staggering while walking,) the formal dining rooms were quite empty for dinner. No surprise.

You are in my neck of the woods..wish you were traveling on the St John’s you could stop by for a cup of coffee or hot tea.
Looking forward too seeing more of your beautiful photos!!

    Beautiful, Barbara. Really beautiful. 🙂

I suppose having the formal dining rooms emptied that way might be a bonus, but only if you don’t get sea sick. 😉

I can understand few people showing up in the dining room. I do love the ocean though.

gypsy-heart ~ I would love a cup of tea. When we were in the Caribbean we hit terrible storms. Do you really see the sun???
Robin and Diane ~ no seasickness for me. I simply hunkered down in a cozy lounge and wrote poetry, read books.
Everyone ~ the sunsets were so colorful down there!

Nice shot with a beautiful atmosphere. By the way I like your site and also discovered new blog features I haven’t realized until now. We both share the same blog layout! I also intend to publish one picture a day. Keep up the good work.

Your picture reminds me of the time I was at sea and I couldn’t tell where the sky ended and the sea began, both were identical in color. Only if I had a camera then….Drats.
