Hallway Reflection

Hallway Reflection, originally uploaded by barbara

An interior photo from deep within the Wisconsin State Capitol. Even the areas not seen by the typical visiting tourist are amazingly designed and beautifully appointed. From the inset marble floor to the hand painted ceiling, everything has been planned for aesthetics. I love how the hallway seems to be a reflection – ceiling and floor as a reflection of each other.

Did u have any problem taking photos in here? Did u have to talk to anybody first? Just wondering.

Interesting photos and a new subject. Cool.

David, I was only in the public area of the Capitol, though there are armed guards there at all times. 🙂 The Capitol has three floors to explore and went through a complete restoration 1980 through 2000 so it’s in perfect condition. Nearly everyone takes pictures of the exterior and the dome, but the interior is much richer for photo subjects. I dare say I was the only one shooting this hallway, but the overall design was so cool.

    Thanks, mona@rch.
I was really drawn to this ‘reflection,’ too. And all this marble – a gift from mother nature. Thanks for always looking and commentng.
