Copper Planter with Snow

There are 16 of these huge planters flanking the doors of the Wisconsin State Capitol Building, and the state fathers are most kind and budget money for lovely flowers to decorate our Capitol. In spring the planters are filled with tulips, in summer, pink petunias and in fall, lovely yellow chrysanthemums. But in winter, Mother Nature gets in the act and she fills the containers with lovely mounds of snow. (No charge!)

You must thank mother nature for the photo opportunities that she has provided free of charge. I look forward to seeing your nature pictures from Wisconsin over the coming months.

    Cheers Mark

Very nice detail. The framing is very effective. They must be very beautiful in the spring and summer.

You have managed to capture the beauty of the planters, the feel of a cold snowy day…and the mystery of what building lies just beyond.

Mark: I thank her every day whilre I’m shoveling. Visit anytime, love to see you.
Aiyana: I think ‘ethereal,’ too. Plus it’s just such a great word to say. “Ethereal…”
Angie: Thanks. You get used to the cold as long as you dress right (like a polar bear!)
Laurie: Thanks. Actually, it’s beautiful nearly all the time.
suz and connetta: the feel and the turquoise all went together. Thanks for commenting.
