Cuppa Joe, Anyone?

Taken in a place with no name (See more photos here)

You may have to wait awhile. These coffee beans need to ripen, which can take from 5 to 7 months, then be picked, processed and dried. Finally the beans are roasted, ground and brewed.

Lots of work for a measly cuppa joe.

  1. Beatiful photo, Barbara! Very nice DOF throughout and a great composition. That lone red berry in the back really draws your eye right in!

  2. I don’t think I can wait that long for coffee, but the pix has motivated me to brew some of their cousins for my morning brew. :) . P.S. Where’s the snow?

  3. I’ve always wondered about that first person to make a cup of coffee. Look at the process — pick ripe beans, roast them, grind them, and then brew. Who would look at those beans and think to do all that??

Someone with a great imagination, maybe. :)

Lovely shot, Barbara. The colors are wonderful.

  5. Great picture, it may be a lot of work but it is worth it. I have a coffee tree growing in my house. I hope to have cherries on it someday but it may take 3 years.

  10. I didn’t know coffee beans were so red.

The shot is tasty, even if the object wouldn’t be.
