A Bit of Character

Three Windows

Life’s up and downs provide windows of opportunity to determine your values and goals - Think of using all obstacles as stepping stones to build the life you want
Marsha Sinetar

This is a set of third floor windows from the State Capitol Building in Indianapolis, Indiana. The building is just what you would expect the Indiana Capitol to look like, but in case you can’t imagine this, I’ll post a couple more photos later. (It does have windows with quite a bit of character.)

  1. nice shot, you seem to have eliminated parallax error or distortion, or minimized it to an un-noticeable amount. did you do this in post processing? or were you just positioned far enough from he building? either way - nice shot.

  2. Ankush - I used the post-processing on my camera, but mostly just cropped it. I also adjusted the saturation and balance I think. I don’t really know what I’m doing, just go until I like what I see. But I’m reading a new photo book so maybe I’ll learn something. So far I’m not sure I like the author telling me all the technical stuff when I’m already doing it, just not technically knowing why I’m doing it. Did that make any sense? :-)
