Exploding Seeds

Macro Milkweed Exploding Seeds

Exploding pods, the gifts come forth
Of silken parachutes and seeds in flight.

The milkweed plant offers a lovely show when it disperses its seeds for the next season. Photographed at Governor Nelson State Park near Westport, Wisconsin (Madison, WI) in October, 2007.

To see an earlier set of photos of the life cycle of the milkweed plant - spring, summer and fall - go to http://gardengrow.wordpress.com/2007/09/06/milkweed-life-cycle/

A Bit of Character

Three Windows

Life’s up and downs provide windows of opportunity to determine your values and goals - Think of using all obstacles as stepping stones to build the life you want
Marsha Sinetar

This is a set of third floor windows from the State Capitol Building in Indianapolis, Indiana. The building is just what you would expect the Indiana Capitol to look like, but in case you can’t imagine this, I’ll post a couple more photos later. (It does have windows with quite a bit of character.)
